Llanerch Vineyard Wine

Vines were first planted at Llanerch in 1986 and were subsequently planted each year until 1991, when a total of nearly seven acres of vines were growing. Llanerch is currently the largest commercial vineyard in Wales producing estate-grown wines. These are marketed under the Cariad label.

Cariad Dry White Wine 2006                  

Made from a blend of Seyval Blanc and Reichensteiner grapes, this is a clean crisp off- dry wine with a hint of fruit and a good length. A typical cool climate wine. A bronze & silver medal winner.

Cariad Celtic Dry White Wine 2006           

A wine showing the delightful intense green flowery notes of the Bacchus and Kernling grape varieties and made in a dry style. Somewhat reminiscent of a Sauvignon Blanc. Winner of the 1999 CLA Wine of the Year Competition and the Presidents Cup

Cariad Medium Dry White Wine 

Three grape varieties are used in the making of this medium dry wine – Kernling, Huxelrebe and Bacchus. It is Germanic in style with a green elderflowery nose and palate. A bronze & silver medal winner in successive IWSC.

Cariad Blush Vintage Quality Sparkling Wine 2005

This is a Brut (off dry) Quality Sparkling Wine which has been bottle fermented from a sin-gle vintage using a blend of Seyval Blanc and Reichensteiner grapes, with a small amount of  the Triomphe to provide the delicate pale coral colour.

Cariad Blush has rose petal notes on the nose with strawberry and honeysuckle. It has a lively mousse with good, creamy mouth feel, good acidity and a refreshing zesty finish.

Cariad Blush has been a silver medal and bronze medal winner in International Wine & Spirit Competitions and also winner of the SWVA Gold Medal and Wine of the Year Cup.
